Roscoe’s Story

Hannah is 26, Cooper is 3. Hannah works at Chatsworth House.

I heard of Wolfie’s through word of mouth at work. We saw pictures of Roscoe (previously called Zlatko) along with videos and phone calls to ensure he would be the perfect fit for us. I wanted to rescue, because a breed or look wasn’t important to me, I wanted to help a dog who really needed a home instead. Roscoe was found as a puppy in a factory yard in northern Macedonia with a severely damaged leg, he was taken to the vets where they amputated. The vets were going to put him back on the streets after his surgery. Luckily local rescuers took him in, he was in kennels for a year with no interest over there, that’s when Wolfie’s offered him a place. Gillian had Roscoe for 3 weeks before he came to us, and he really is the perfect dog. My son and Roscoe are the same age and it’s brilliant to watch them grow up together.
