Our Adoption Process

Each animal is unique and have their own specific requirements for a new home.

If you are interested the first step is to give Gill a call or contact us and we will call you back.

If you meet the requirements of the dog we will carry out a home check. Some of the things we will be looking for include “Is your garden secure?”; “Where will your dog be sleeping?”; “If the dog has a physical disability, will it have suitable access?”

After a successful home check you will be invited to meet with the dog. If you are still interested at that point you can either take the dog away or you can arrange a future collection date.

Most importantly we ask that you keep in touch - we love to hear updates on how our dogs are getting on in their new home, please join our facebook page where we would love you to share your success stories.

Please note:

Most of our dogs have unknown history and therefore will not be rehomed with very young children.

All dogs are vaccinated, wormed, chipped and if old enough spayed/neutered. In the case of a younger dog we will cover this at a later date.

Points to consider when adopting a Wolfies dog:

  • How active are you/your family?

  • What are your working hours?

  • How much room have you got?

  • Where will your new friend sleep?

  • If you dog has a physical disability will s/he be able to get around your home?

  • Is your home environment noisy/quiet?

  • If you live in rented accommodation have you checked your tenancy agreement, are you allowed pets?

  • Pups will likely chew!!

The suggested adoption donation for a Wolfie’s dog is £120.
